Então me esforcei!

Comecei a me desesperar, suar, tremer, ficar nervosa, estressada. Ligava e desligava o ar-condicionado.

Eba! Lá, vi a famosa tartaruguinha do Huck Finn e fiquei encantada com o lugar. Na verdade, parece mais um buraco! É um barzinho muuuuito pequeno, estreito, escuro e velho (tirarei fotos no dia do show).

Sorte maior, só se ele tocar alguma das músicas que mais quero: Ghost, Girl Friday, All I Want is You, Last Minute (as principais), Fairy Tale, Because, Eyes in the Sky, Summerend, Overkill, Honesty, Follow Me e 1998! :D

Agora é a parte 2 do sofrimento: esperar o dia do show!

Amanhã traduzo o post para inglês... deu preguiça! :P

In English, please! :P

Hidaka announced on his website one more Naked Teacher Unplugged in Nagoya. And guess what, dear readers? I'M GOING! * O *

The acoustic will be held at Huck Finn Factory in Nagoya (Aichi prefecture) on July 1st and the tickets will be limited to only 40 units. That's it, only 40 people will see the show! Plus, the tickets could only be purchased on Huck Finn Factory, at 16:00 of June 18th! No internet, phone or email, all to make it even more difficult to get!

Imagine the challenge to get these tickets! I was not willing to lose! So I tried hard! Here is the story of how I got two tickets to the show of my biggest idol, Toru Hidaka-sama...

At first, I did not give a shit. I read on his site that it was in Nagoya and didn't felt thaaaaat urge to go. I never liked acoustics thaaaat much, although I had always dreamed about a Beat Crusaders' unplugged. But I prefer Hidaka's guitar! But I started reading some blogs, from people who went to the Naked Teacher concert's and I got very, veeeery excited! *O*

First of all, because he played a bunch of Beat Crusader's songs, and even Gallow and Asparagus! Second, the shows were often small, in tiny places and for few people, making the experience so intimate that people can see him, like, less than 1 meter away, right there, in their faces, as if he was sitting on the couch of their homes! And third, because some people have even talked to him and got autographs! That is... PERFECT! Rather than a festival show, with all that sweaty, messy people stepping on your foot and pushing you.

Well, today I woke up early (9:30 of the "dawn"). My husband and I left home at 11:00. Iwata is 120 km away from Nagoya, and is a path that leads up to 2 hours driving without traffic. However, we were out of luck. Along the way, already in Aichi prefecture, there was a devilish traffic in Tomei (a  Japan's highway). I was looking at the plates and it was saying that it would take more than 2 hours to arrive in Nagoya! I began to despair, sweat, tremble, feel nervous, stressed. I was switching on and off the air conditioner. I thought I would never arrive in Nagoya. After Okazaki (a city near to Nagoya city), the traffic disappeared and we moved on. Already in Nagoya, the streets were relatively peaceful as well. As a miracle, we found the place of the show without losing ourselves any time. We left the car in a parking lot and went to Huck Finn on foot. It was raining, raining soooo much! I hate to divide a small umbrella! --'

When we got there, I was startled by the size of the queue! My heart came to my mouth! I almost threw up! There should already have about 20 people, at least. And, curiously, only one or two MEN! Seriously! No idea why! There were many little girls (or not, since the japanese do not seem to have their real age!), but also mature women. Girls with shirts, jackets, key chain and towels of the Beat "Dead" Crusaders. At the door there was this plaque saying that the tickets would be sold there (sorry, had no time to take a picture). All this distracted me a little, but soon I started to get worried, anxious, with heart in mouth again, thinking that I couldn't get the tickets, because as I said, each person was allowed to buy only 2 tickets. If all they buy two, I wouldn't get any!

After half an hour or so, at 14h30, the staff of Huck Finn allowed us to wait inside. YEAH! Inside, I saw the famous Huck Finn's little turtle and I was amazed with the place. Actually, it looks like a hole! It's a very small, narrow, dark an old bar (I will take photos on the day of show). Must be smaller than our apartment! But it has all the atmosphere for an acoustic, especially for a little show of your favorite artist, singing in your ear! The interior resembles a factory (there's the name!), with several old and rusty pipes at sight, everything made of wood, all very wasted and "dirty". Very charming! After one hour and a half sitting, we waited very anxious. At 16:00 sharp (yes, in Japan ponctually is law!), a man sat at a table and people lined up. No one bypassed, there was no uproar, no shouting, no pushing at all. Everything was very organized, calm, no employee had to say to us what and how to do. And I was just looking the orange papers that the man was cutting off and giving to people. "Oh, no, it will sold out! There won't be any for me! So scary!", was in my mind. My heart was in my mouth again! When it was my turn, I saw that there were still a few tickets and calmed down. I ordered two, gave the money and the guy asked me: "are you Roberta Matsuoka?". I was surprised and answered "yes ...?". He asked if I sent an e-mail, and I said yes. Just then I remembered that yesterday I sent an email to them wondering if it was allowed to take pictures and shoot the show. According to my poor level of japanese, he said he didn't know for sure yet if it was allowed or not to take pictures. I thanked him, took the tickets and left. I thought, "Ahhhh, so that's why he knows my name... but how he knew HOW I was?". Well... he could tweaked any of my websites (which appears in my e-mail signature) OR he simply deduced that it was me because I sent the e-mail in English and I was the only one there without any asian traces. I'm used to being treated as an "american" when I go out and get some "hello" (or rather herou) from people. As usual, it was pretty funny!

With my heavenly tickets in hands, I could finally breathe freely. That nervousness was all gone! And just look at the ticket numbers! 33 and 34! Sooooo lucky! Behind us there were still about 20 more people. Probably half of them didn't get the tickets...

It was really lucky: first, because I would be working that day (July 1st will be a friday). But because of Tohoku Jishin (the earthquake and tsunami of March 11th), Hamaoka's nuclear plant has been shut down and there will be power saving next month here in Shizuoka, so I'm gonna be off on Thursdays and Fridays from July until September. So July 1st is my first day off! Second, even with the rain and traffic, I arrived there on time. If I had arrived later, poor me! And third, of course, I got the tickets that I wanted so much!

If I get luck again, Hidaka will play any of these songs: Ghost, Girl Friday, All I Want Is You, Last Minute, Fairy Tale, Because, Eyes in the Sky, Summerend, Overkill, Honesty, Follow Me and 1998! :D

Now, is the part 2 of suffering: wait for the day of the show! Two weeks to go! I will die of anxiety!

And now, at 4:00 a.m., I'm seeing Hidaka on Terebi Asahi, on Keyhole TV. Again, it was by chance: I was looking for blogs and Twitters from the people who bought the tickets today and in the searches I saw the TV Asahi's website, saying that would air a talk show with Hidaka at 3:25 a.m. (it was 3:20 a.m. when I read this, no fucking kidding!). This was my lucky day, right? I think I'll go gamble! Back soon (and rich, I hope)! :D
